Team Project 2
Threat of Near-Earth Objects Impacting on the Earth

Last update: 22'nd of July, 2002

Welcome

Welcome to the MSS'02 Team Project 2 webpage. This page presents the results of our team of 21 ISU students who have worked on the exciting and challenging issue of protecting our planet from the impact of large asteroids and comets or Near-Earth Objects (NEOs), which is gaining increasing public recognition.

Reports

Our work began with a comprehensive Literature Review on the problem posed by NEOs on a collision course with our planet.

Following that, we decided to focus on the specific issue of responding to the NEO threat since there has been no interdisplinary work on that issue to date. Our work resulted in the Final Report.

The following links allow you to download our reports.

Software

Specially developed Software was created as part of our work to simulate the space missions that might one day be used to protect our planet.
